About ULIS
The United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS) is a non-profit association of state lotteries conceived to safeguard the integrity and core values of sports from corruption, specifically, from the manipulation of sports competitions.
With its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, and offices in Canada, Denmark and Hong Kong, ULIS provides its stakeholders with a global, systemic, surveillance framework for the monitoring of sports betting in order to detect suspicious betting patterns. ULIS brings together state lotteries, national and international actors in the field of sport integrity and seeks to act as a platform for sharing information, best practices and experience among its members.
There are currently almost forty individual lottery members, two collective members, namely the World Lottery Association (WLA) and the European Lotteries (EL) and a number of sports organizations, national platforms, suppliers, public institutions, and regulators as associate and affiliate members.
Together with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Interpol, ULIS is one of the three observers to the Statutory Committee of the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulations of Sports, the Macolin Convention, adopted in 2014, which is the only international, legally binding instrument focusing specifically on the topic.
