We are pleased to share our 2021 GLMS Annual Report, in which you will find key facts and figures from GLMS’ monitoring and intelligence work last year in the service of our members and partners.
The report also includes our main highlights from the last year. We delivered a sport integrity perspective to the World Lottery Association’s webinar on Unauthorized Lottery and Sports Betting operations and to their sports betting webinar, jointly organised with the European Lotteries, both of whom are founding members of GLMS.
GLMS strengthened its contributions to educational activities in tackling sports manipulations, together with our lottery members, via the ERASMUS+ programme, including CSCF’s projects, from IntegriSport to IntegriSport Next for law enforcement and Integriball for female and male footballers, and the FIFA Global Integrity Programme in collaboration with UNODC. GLMS was also delighted to contribute academically within relevant university courses at the University of Lausanne and University of Aix.Marseille and finally at the MESGO Master in Global Sport Governance.
The GLMS 2021-2023 Executive Committee was elected, with representation from lotteries on 4 continents, where Ludovico Calvi was re-nominated as President. In addition, with the full support of founding collective members, WLA and EL, Luca Esposito, Executive Director at WLA, was appointed as the new GLMS General Secretary as well, as of 1 January 2022.
We contributed to policy making at the international level, having participated for the first time as Observers to the Macolin Convention Committee and delivered a contribution to the first ever UNODC Global Report Safeguarding Sport from Corruption.
We were privileged to participate in several events concerning sport integrity, together with our members, organised by our strategic partner SBC, as well as a conference on football law by LawInSport.
You will read captivating interviews from our partner, CSCF Sport Integrity Group’s Director, Dr. Norbert Rubicsek, former Europol officer and responsible for 3 of our partner projects, as well as from Luca Esposito in his role as WLA’s Executive Director.
Finally, our esteemed associate supplier members are also featured in the report.
