ULIS actively participated in the CONMEBOL monitoring group for the Libertadores Final 2024 held in Buenos Aires. The final, which was played between Botafogo and Atletico Mineiro on November 30th, was under the scrutiny of a dedicated monitoring group to ensure fairness and transparency.
The group, led by CONMEBOL's Ethics, Compliance and Integrity Directorate (DECI), included not only betting monitoring organizations, but the participation of international actors such as FIFA, UEFA, The Football Association, the Council of Europe, the Copenhagen Group, UNODC, FBI, INTERPOL, the Public Prosecutor's Office of Argentina, the Argentine Football Association, and the Brazilian Football Confederation.
The core mission of the monitoring group was to supervise the event through meticulous risk assessments and in-depth analysis of collected data. The initiative aims to strengthen transparency, and prevent and detect any threats related to match-fixing.

CONMEBOL President Alejandro Domínguez emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “We are very happy that they are here, because for us credibility is everything, and we always lead by example. We created the virtuous circle because we gave credibility and conditions to our commercial allies, and that translates into opportunity and growth both economically and in sports.”

The partnership between ULIS and CONMEBOL underscores the significance of international cooperation. Earlier this year, both organizations solidified their relationship by signing a Cooperation Agreement in July. This initiative reinforces their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity in regional tournaments.
Through this collaborative effort, ULIS and CONMEBOL demonstrate their dedication to fair play and the credibility of international football, ensuring that the passion of the game remains untarnished.
