CONMEBOL II Compliance and Integrity Summit

On Wednesday, September 24, ULIS participated in CONMEBOL's II Compliance and Integrity Summit, held at the CONMEBOL SUMA Complex. Our organization was represented by Fabien Garcia, from La Banca, Uruguay, whose presence reaffirmed ULIS's commitment to safeguarding sports integrity in the region.

The South American Football Confederation, through its Ethics, Compliance, and Integrity Department, led by Graciela Garay, organized the second edition of the Summit this year, which brought together top-level panelists and more than 200 participants from South America and other regions of the world, experts in compliance and integrity issues.

The Summit reflects CONMEBOL's institutional vision in terms of compliance and integrity, and it is a platform to showcase the work and innovations carried out in recent years in CONMEBOL tournaments and collaborations with Member Associations.

ULIS and CONMEBOL's Partnership

CONMEBOL President Alejandro Domínguez highlighted: “The commitment that brings us together today is what drives us to continue building a CONMEBOL with transparency, integrity, and excellence.”

ULIS and CONMEBOL signed a Cooperation Agreement last year aimed at fostering ethical and transparent practices in sports through education, monitoring, risk assessments, and the promotion of expertise in sports integrity on an international level. It underscores the importance of partnership and collective action as no single organization or governing body can tackle integrity risks in isolation.
