The countdown is onto the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Canada, Mexico, and the United States!
With just over a month to go until kick off, anticipation is growing around the world. So too are efforts by the FIFA Integrity Task Force to ensure that a robust competition monitoring plan is in place for the tournament.
With that goal in mind, the FIFA Integrity Task Force held an in-person meeting at the FIFA Americas Office in Coral Gables, Florida on 07 May. The daylong event marked a significant milestone in tournament preparations, with a clear emphasis on operational readiness, coordination and risk mitigation.
ULIS Operations Manager Daniel Chan contributed to a session on “Risk Assessments: Betting Market Perspectives,” together with representatives from other bet monitoring providers.
The gathering reviewed the finalized World Cup competition monitoring plan while specifically:
- defining FIFA’s broader integrity initiatives for the competition;
- analysing risk assessments;
- aligning on core mechanisms such as monitoring coverage, reporting lines and escalation procedures; and strengthening collaboration with all members.
“This event was structured to encourage active engagement and solutions-oriented dialogue, reinforcing collaboration as a cornerstone of FIFA’s integrity approach,” said Emilio García Silvero, FIFA’s Chief Legal & Compliance Officer.
