On Thursday, 8 May 2025, ULIS participated in the FIFA Integrity Task Force meeting held in Miami. As a member of the task force, ULIS joined other key stakeholders to discuss strategies aimed at safeguarding the integrity of football competitions, with a focus on upcoming FIFA tournaments.
The FIFA Integrity Task Force was established to monitor and protect FIFA competitions from match manipulation and other integrity-related issues. During the meeting, participants reviewed integrity protocols for FIFA competitions scheduled for 2025, including the FIFA World Cup 26™ qualifiers, and finalized monitoring strategies for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™.
ULIS will play an active role in monitoring the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ as part of the ULIS Monitoring & Intelligence Group (UMIG). UMIG is a specialized initiative composed of traders and analysts from lottery members that focuses on monitoring of betting markets to identify and address potential integrity threats.
“FIFA has joined forces with key organisations to protect all tournaments from match manipulation and address integrity-related matters,” said Carlos Schneider, FIFA Director of Judicial Bodies. “The task force is a collaborative effort between FIFA and the most relevant international stakeholders in the integrity field, whose expertise will contribute to safeguarding, promoting and maintaining the integrity of FIFA competitions. It was very good to discuss the progress being made.”
